Dear Diary,

Yesterday we MADE, ice cream. We MADE it! Even though it wasn't as firm as store-bought ice cream, it was better than store-bought ice cream. It tasted like French vanilla. To make this yummy treat you'll need:
  • milk
  • sugar
  • vanilla
  1. Put the ingredients in a small ziplock baggy.
  2. Put some ice into a large ziplock baggy.
  3. Put the milk mixture bag into the ice bag.
  4. Put salt into the ice bag.
  5. Close both bags.
  6. Shake for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Enjoy!

Hi Alice. That sounds like lots of fun to make your own ice cream. Grandpa and I used to have a little two-cup machine that made ice cream, and it was always so yummy. Yours burns a lot more calories in the making, though. Woo Hoo!

I'm going to make home made bean taco's tomorrow. They are sort of like burritoes except I use the smaller tortillas and just fold them over. Oh, even the beans are made from scratch in the crock pot. Grandma Grace, Grandpa Mel and I all like sour cream in our burritoes and tacos. How about you? Grandpa Mel says that's the very best part.

Our weather has been hot here, in the tripple digits. That means 100 degrees and over. Whoa, Nellie! This would not be a good time of year for you to visit.

Tombstone has been in the news a lot here lately.

Love, Grandma Carol

Hi Grandma.

Maybe I don't like sour cream in my burritos and tacos, but I think you're right about me not wanting to visit that temperature. Mommy says she likes sour cream in hers. But that's different. She's not me.
